So I just finished watching the 30 For 30: The Gospel According To Mac the other night. It’s good to see the Buffs get some exposure on TV, plus there was a ton of stuff in that special that I didn’t know about. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend you check it out. As with all the 30 For 30s, the production and storytelling is on point.
Anyway, watching it made me think about where this program has been. I was only 5 years old when the Buffs won their championship and 9 when Coach Mac stepped down, so I can’t really say that I got to experience the elation during the championship run. But, I do remember The Miracle at Michigan at the Big House. I can remember my dad jumping off the couch and my brothers wildly cheering as Michael Westbrook stood up victorious as Kordell and the rest of the football team ran down the field.
